Deep Trace is a quiet analysis tool built to score how strongly a story, event, or message shows traits linked to psychological operations, or PSYOPs. A PSYOP is a planned effort to steer perception or behaviour by shaping timing, emotion, language, and what information is revealed or withheld — rather than by using force. This app doesn’t tell you what to believe; it helps you see how heavily a narrative appears to be structured.
Using the NCI Engineered Reality Scoring System, each scan walks you through a series of signals commonly seen in influence campaigns: suspicious timing, emotional manipulation, uniform messaging, missing context, tribal framing, suppression of dissent, sudden outrage, and clear financial or political gain. Your responses are converted into a single PSYOP likelihood score that shows how natural or engineered the situation feels.
This tool is meant as a thinking aid, not a truth certifier. It helps you slow down, examine the structure of a narrative, and notice patterns you might otherwise skip past in a fast news cycle or social feed. The score is a prompt for further investigation, not a final verdict. Treat it like a classified briefing sheet: a signal to look closer, ask better questions, and decide for yourself.
